What is fresh may not be reliable

I did some sort of consumerism today! Let me think of some flashy headlines for it...

CONSUMER RIGHTS UPHELD BY AN ACTIVIST

Okay - to the business part. I made my monthly purchase in the store that claims to sell reliable products at affordable price, fresh (The fact that it is just a deo, shave gel and wet gel should not matter much now - it drifts the random reader away).

I was carried away by an offer that said a certain brand of Axe deo has 25 rupees off MRP as discount. Adding two of them to the cart, I had 4 items billed. The counter staff did not offer me the discount in the printed bill.

1. "Why did not you include blah blah?"
"Sir, it is not available as an offer in the system"
"I do not bother. when you advertise it as 25/- off, you ought to give it to me - you have printed the bill (billed the item) and the code is scanned. You cannot deny"

(ivanoda rodhanaiya pochu) - calls the Store Manager, he comes and says offer is valid, prepare a refund voucher.

2. "refund voucher book is not available, Sir"
"So what?"

15 minutes pass away. refund voucher prepared, discount bill printed out from the system.

3. "Okay sir, refund processed, please buy something in the store for 50 rupees"
"why should I? Give me cash"
"We are not supposed to give cash"
"Give me the cash - I cannot be forced to buy something just because you dont know how to bill"

(ivanoda rodhanaiya pochu 2nd time) - calls the Store Manager, he comes and says pay him cash

4. "Okay sir, please have the cash" hands over the discount bill
"Give me the original bill"
"This is ours sir"
"Your second bill does not say I have purchased something, I need the original bill to get reimbursement(!)"
"That is not our policy"
"Give me the original bill - I cannot be forced to take a useless bill just because you dont know how to take duplicate bill from your system"

(ivanoda rodhanaiya pochu 3rd time) - calls the Store Manager, he comes and says give him the original bill.

Our hero, a self appointed consumer rights activist walks out with a pride!
