MAMS

Manmadhan Ambu in Seasons - Dec. 26, 2010 845 show. Mokkai Sombu would be a better title. In short, the movie was just like a Rava Uppuma. When you are hungry, you will eat it, but when your hunger goes off you will wonder why at all did you feel inclined to eating it at the first place.

One million thanks to whomever was involved in stopping the crap kavidhai being included in the film. If it was released, you would have seen some madras bashai here.

Story is not so good - yet another run out of the mill. I am expecting K.S.Sriram to find and announce the names of English movies behind this story. Trisha has delivered very well in this movie. Sangeetha's performance and the stylish dialogue delivery is amazing. Lots of mokkai scenes non-typical of KSRK. Two songs may be a hit - sama dhana bedha dhandam and neela vanam. Somehow, I do not feel the picturisation of the latter was any different. Hawkeye has 4 videos in his blog to prove this. Kamal's wife dies because she did not wear her seat belt and not because she was driving a Ford. A foreign national not wearing a seat belt while our hero does, is hard to believe!

Madhavan has not done any justice to the role offered. Usha Uthup - is she intended to be a villi?? pathetic! Not to be an exception to all other Kamal movies and to quench his eternal thirst, we have an overdose of urinal related scenes in this movie. A few light hearted humour scenes after interval are the ones that kept us glued to our seats especially after the interval. Had they not been there - I would have ideally slept, given the tiredness that got built in after the trek to Tirumala.

The scene where Trisha confesses did not mix with the overall story - it was an unwanted thinippu. Urvasi and her husband's vaandhi plus the regular anna-thangai/sample cries/thaali/cancer/hospital bill last date sentiment scenes have been added as salt and kothamalli in the overall uppuma.

Not worth spending the 120 bucks. Can wait for the DVD to come.
